This unit has difficulty buffering data in what is called ESP (Electronic Shock Protection) mode when playing back CDRs burned as an audio CD. I'm guessing it is a software issue with that feature.

The 2U rack-mountable player offers a wealth of useful features such as shuffle play, program play, repeat single, and repeat all for regular and MP3 CDs, and repeat folder/album for MP3 CDs. It also has 40 seconds of built-in electronic shock protection to ensure smooth playback in all conditions. In addition to the optical and coaxial S/PDIF digital outputs, the CD-160mkII has a stereo RCA output for connection to an analog system. The 1/4 headphone output has its own level control.
