Love this camera. The lighting is always perfect and it's so tiny, I can even take it in my computer bag. I'm buying them for my entire family out of the area!  (Read full review at Amazon)

I like my camera's quality. It ranges between light and dark really well with a couple other features that are fun to discover. The cam is mostly for thicker laptops. It does come with a rubber piece to help it stay on a thinner laptop, but on my...  (Read full review at Amazon)

I bought this camera to talk long distance over the internet with my family. I really love it! It has a very clear picture, better than any of the ones my family are using. The RightLight function does a good job of picking up a good image in...  (Read full review at Amazon)

The webcam fits nicely on my hp laptop so no issues there. Software works fine and skype picked it up immediately. Image is clear, not grainy as some reviews complain - great value for what I paid! Definitely recommend as a low cost webcam for...  (Read full review at Amazon)

Extremely disappointing video quality

Seemingly nice and compact webcam, however once you connect it to the USB port and see the video output, you will be very disappointed. Horrendous video quality. Splurge on a better model, it's worth it.  (Read full review at Amazon)

The package that the webcam came in was very surprising. The webcam was in a plastic blister package. If you are like me, most of the plastic blister packs that products have been in have been very difficult to open. In some cases, opening plastic blister packages can be by hand can be quite deadly, so use a knife. This one however, you do not need a knife as the back of the package was perforated with holes allowing you to easily open the webcam package and pull out the contents out. When I pulled the contents out of the box, I found a very small webcam, installation CD, neoprene carrying case, multi language instruction manual and rubber feet for thinner laptop screens. ... More

It's small and you can hide it in the palm of your hand. What is it? It's the Logitech quickcam, for notebooks deluxe. It's the smallest webcam I have seen. The specifications that I have read are very impressive, but will it stand up to the test? ... More

Logitech's QuickCam for Notebooks Deluxe offers more image adjustability options than many of its competitors, and with improved IM integration, it's definitely worth its $60 price. This easy-to-use Webcam provides loads of software and functionality for basic photos, video, and video instant messaging. Installing the Logitech QuickCam for Notebooks Deluxe is easy: insert the installation CD and follow the prompts. In addition to MSN Messenger , AOL Instant Messenger , and Yahoo Messenger , the CD includes drivers and plenty of software: Logitech's QuickCapture app for taking still photos and videos, an application for sending e-mail with video, and Logitech's desktop messenger software, which automatically checks for software updates. You can select the software you'd like to install or install all of the programs at once. All of the software is easy to use and fairly self-explanatory, but other than a quick-setup guide, there's no documentation. However, Logitech does offer support through its Web site and a toll-free phone number. The QuickCam's stand is made strictly for the thin flat panels of laptops. Its spring-loaded base clamps onto the top of the LCD, but if the edge is beveled or it's more than half an inch thick, you'll have to engage in some creative positioning; we found that it works fairly well to put the camera and its stand in front of the screen, then hook the stiff cord over the back. The camera isn't easily adjustable; it tilts only 45 degrees forward, and it doesn't swivel from side to side. On a positive note, the focus ring surrounding the lens is very sensitive and easy to adjust. The folks at Logitech teamed up with Microsoft to create an amazing video-conversation feature for MSN Messenger 7.0 ; Logitech provides the technology that synchronizes the audio and video streams. The sound quality is decent, but we experienced occasional lapses on both the transmitting and receiving ends. The image quality is unmatched; there is almost no lag, and the picture is only slightly pixelated. We were impressed with the QuickCam's performance with other instant-messaging clients; with both Yahoo Messenger and AOL AIM, the image was slightly jerky and pixelated, but had good color. Using the QuickCapture software, we found that the QuickCam's photo and video performance were above average. In a refreshing contrast to many Webcams we've seen, Logitech offers a control panel that allows you to adjust the standard settings--brightness, contrast, and saturation--as well as a low-light filter and color boost. As a result, we were able to adjust the settings to achieve full color in all but the dimmest lighting situations. QuickCapture also includes zoom and face-tracking capabilities. The QuickCapture software lets you snap pictures that range from 160x120 pixels to 1.3 megapixels, but the 1.3 megapixels are of poor quality because the large size is achieved through interpolation . QuickCapture also will take VGA video up to 640x480 pixels. In our tests, video quality was smooth and clear, with a well-synchronized audio track. Audio quality with the camera's surprisingly sensitive, built-in microphone sounded clear and picked up a voice from three feet away. ... More

Logitech's QuickCam for Notebooks Deluxe offers more features and better image quality than you might expect from its compact, unassuming design. Although it's not the cheapest webcam around, it's still a good entry-level choice for individuals who have no previous experience with webcams and who may be on the fence about whether or not they actually need or want one. The included CD walks you through the installation process. Plug in the provided USB cable, follow the prompts on the CD, and you can't go wrong. The package includes a clip for attaching the camera to standard notebook displays, as well as a special adapter for attaching the camera to thin notebook displays. The QuickCam can capture video in the AVI format at a resolution of up to 640X480, at up to 15 frames per second. The camera can also capture still images at up to 1.3 megapixels (software enhanced), in standard JPG or BMP formats. The manual focus ring is a comfortable size and easy to adjust. The Intelligent Face Tracking feature provides some freedom of movement by automatically keeping your face centered in the frame. Video quality is decent for a webcam in this price range, even in low-light situations, and audio quality is very good. The QuickCam includes controls for adjusting brightness, contrast, and color saturation, a feature you don't often find in webcams. An LCD light lets you know when the camera is on and transmitting, so you don't have to worry about inadvertently sending out video. The QuickCam for Notebooks Deluxe works with most popular instant messaging programs and services, including Yahoo! Messenger, Windows Messenger, MSN Messenger, and AOL Instant Messenger. The package includes a built-in microphone, USB cable, notebook clip, notebook adapter, neoprene travel case, set-up guide, and CD with drivers and software. The Logitech QuickCam is a low-cost solution for top quality video and for a good sound experience. Pro: Lightweight, compact design. Reasonably good video and still images, even in low-light situations. Includes a built-in microphone. Con: The face-tracking feature is sometimes erratic or slow to lock on to movement. Both the clip and the adapter don't fit securely over some displays.
